Thanks to poker legend Doyle Brunson and his group of talented poker-playing
pals, Texas Hold’em has become the world’s most popular poker game, and the game
played in the annual World Series of Poker Main Event in Las Vegas, Nevada,
arguably the planet’s richest and most prestigious poker tournament. So perhaps
it is not surprising that Texas Hold’em has also spawned a popular casino game
called Casino Texas Hold’em.

For your online gambling convenience, we have compiled a basic rundown of the
Casino Texas Holdem rules. First, it is important to note that while Casino
Texas Hold’em is played along the same lines as traditional Texas Hold’em poker,
it differs somewhat as it is played in a casino environment. For instance, in
Casino Texas Hold’em you play against the dealer, not other players. The aim of
Casino Texas Hold’em is to make the best possible poker hand and beat the

The way each round of Casino Texas Hold’em begins, is that you must place a bet
in the space marked ‘Ante’. With this bet, if you beat the dealer with a
Straight or lower, you’ll be paid 1:1. You can also bet on the space marked
‘AA’, although this is an optional bet. For an AA bet to pay out, the first five
cards dealt (your two plus the Flop) must include a pair of Aces or better.

Once you have placed your bet(s), click the ‘Deal’ button. You will then be
dealt two cards face up, the dealer will deal himself two cards facedown and
three community or common cards (the Flop) face up. At this point you look at
your cards and the community cards to see if you have made or can make a winning
poker hand. If not, you can click the ‘Fold’ button to leave the hand, although
by folding you’ll automatically lose your initial bets.

If you choose to continue playing in the hand, you must ‘Call’ to see the fourth
and fifth community cards (the Turn and the River). However, to call you are
required to bet the same amount as your initial bets, in other words double your
initial Ante and/or AA bet. The dealer then deals the final two community cards.
If your hand is better than the dealer’s hand, you win and your bets are
returned to you along with your winnings. If not, you lose your bets. Note that
the dealer has to have at least a pair of 4s to qualify. If he does not, your
Call bet will be returned to you and your Ante bet will be paid out as per the

Should a situation arise where you and the dealer have the same hands, the
highest card out of the remaining ones available to each of you will determine
the winner. Also, if you and the dealer have the same type of hand, such as a
Flush for instance, whoever has the highest cards in the Flush wins. For example
A, 8, 7, 5, 4  of Hearts will beat K, J, 10, 6, 3 of Hearts.

Ante Bet Payouts

Royal Flush 100:1
Straight Flush 20:1
4 of a Kind 10:1
Full House 3:1
Flush 2:1
Straight or lower 1:1

AA Bets Payouts

Royal Flush 100:1
Straight flush 50:1
4 of a kind 40:1
Full house 30:1
Flush 20:1
Straight or lower 7:1

In terms of Casino Texas Hold’em strategy, there is only one golden rule
to remember – try to call about 80 percent of all hands and only fold about 20
percent. The reason is that every time you fold, you lose your initial bets so
statistically it make more sense to call for the chance to win, then to fold and
automatically lose.
