Victor Chandler to Sponsor Nottingham Forest

Yesterday (Wednesday, July 8) leading United Kingdom-based land and online gambling and betting group, Victor Chandler, announced that it has signed a lucrative six-figure one-year deal to become the main sponsor of top-rated English Football League Championship team, Nottingham Forest.

Victor Chandler has replaced leading international financial group, Capital One, as Nottingham Forest's premier sponsor after the expiry of its five-year deal. As land and online gambling is legal in the United Kingdom, so is the advertising thereof, which means football teams are a big sponsorship target.

'We are absolutely delighted with the deal,' said Nottingham Forest CEO, Mark Arthur. 'As it's Victor Chandler's first foray into football sponsorship, we'll have to see what they think of football and of us. It's the largest investment Victor Chandler have ever made, and we are honored that they've chosen us.'

Victor Chandler is already one of the most recognizable gambling brands in the UK, but will benefit greatly from its association with one of the country's top Football League Championship teams. As part of the sponsorship deal, Nottingham Forest players will sport Victor Chandler's logo on their football kits.

Said Arthur, 'I've been lucky enough to see a mock-up of our new shirts with Victor Chandler on and they look very strong. It may well delay our new kit by a few extra days and we ask people to be patient with regard to that, but fans have my assurance that the product will look really great in the end.'
