UK Firm Launches Anti-Bot Software

Last week Cambridge-based software firm, Featurespace announced that it has provided King.com, the world's biggest skill games operation, with state-the-art behavioural software designed to prevent potentially harmful 'bot attacks', an application that can also be applied to online gambling sites.

The kind of software developed by Featurespace is becoming increasingly important to online gaming and online gambling websites that are increasingly being targeted by malicious computer software that is designed to mimic humans, and ultimately gain the upper hand unscrupulously when it comes to game play.

According to executives at Featurespace, which was founded in 2005, its new high-tech software protects clients by automatically detecting online activity that has been designed to simulate that of humans, but is actually artificial. This has been a problem for King.com, which boasts over 17.5m unique users monthly.

As such, it is crucial for firms like King.com as well as the world's biggest online gambling concerns, to ensure the integrity of their games and that of their loyal players. In fact, there are very few gaming and online gambling companies in operation today that don't actively support consumer privacy and }protection.
