Sportingbet Sponsors Hull Kingston Rovers Rugby Side

Under the terms of the new sponsorship agreement, players for the Hull Kingston Rovers will sport Sportingbet's logo on their jerseys, while the Rovers' Craven Park grounds will boast Sportingbet-branded sidings. In addition, the popular UK online sportsbooks will be heavily featured on the Rovers' website.

The Hull Kingston Rovers currently compete in Europe's top rugby league which means it's an extremely high-profile sports team that gets a lot of media and TV exposure. And it is for this reason that multi-million pound online gambling firms like Sportingbet are eager to sign multi-year sponsorship deals.

According to reports, the Sportingbet sponsorship deal is thought to be worth six figures and is currently for one year, but with the option to extend it. It came at a extremely opportune time for the rugby club which is rumoured to be losing £450,000 a year. In the UK, football far exceeds rugby in popularity.
