eCOGRA Recognizes Four Safe and Fair Seal Holders

One of ways the online gambling industry is kept 'honest' is through independent and third party organizations whose sole purpose is to monitor and regulate the gambling sites within their jurisdiction, and a leading example is eCOGRA, which has recognized four top online gambling websites.

Short for e-Commerce and Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance, eCOGRA prides itself on protecting online gamblers by addressing the need for fair gaming and responsible operator conduct, as well as by informing players of their rights, responsibilities and findings via its website and the media.

And this week eCOGRA applauded the efforts of four of its Safe and Fair seal holders for winning four top online gambling industry awards. The online gambling sites were 888 Holdings (which operates Casino-on-Net and Pacific Poker), PartyPoker and leading online sports betting sites, Unibet and Bwin.

eCOGRA singled out the four online gambling operators after each of them was recognized at the recent eGaming Review (EGR) Awards, which were hosted at a glamorous and glittering affair in London, England at the beginning of the month. The top award, the coveted Operator of the Year, went to Bwin.

Unibet won best European Live Gaming as well as best European Live Gaming. PartyPoker won best Poker Operator of the Year and 888 Holdings won best Casino Operator of the Year. Each year the EGR Awards recognize excellence, innovation and achievement in the global online gambling industry.
