Leading online gambling site Virgin Games has made it possible for mobile users in the UK to 'gamble on the go' with the launch of Virgin Casino Mobile on Monday this week, which is expected to greatly bolster the site's player base.

Renowned as an all round UK online gambling destination, players at Virgin Games can enjoy casino, bingo, poker and now mobile gaming facilities, using a single wallet system to make their online gaming experience quick and user-friendly.

To develop Virgin Casino Mobile, Virgin Games employed the services of reputable mobile marketing agency Somo. The new mobile casino has been integrated into Virgin's existing proprietary gaming platform, and will boast a portfolio of games from a number of leading gaming software vendors, including initial offerings from Microgaming.

Virgin Casino Mobile is Instantly Available to Players

Being a web application, Virgin Casino Mobile is instantly available to players. And because it is linked to the site's single wallet system, using their sole Virgin Game's username and password, players can register, make deposits or withdrawals, manage their account, and even claim bonuses over the internet or while on the go.

Said Virgin Games CEO, Simon Burridge, 'With Smartphone penetration now exceeding 40 per cent in the UK, customers want and expect to be able to do on their phone what they do on their PC. With the launch of Virgin Casino Mobile we're simply responding to this demand.

'While the gaming industry has been on the cusp of a mobile revolution for some time, 2011 has really been the year when the planets have aligned to make mobile gaming a more attractive proposition. For us we see it as the right time in the company's life, the industry's life and the technology is ready,' he said.

Virgin Games is a Customer-Centric Brand

Burridge also stressed that by launching Virgin Casino Mobile, the company is continuing to follow its philosophy of being a 'customer-centric brand,' meaning that everything Virgin Games does is ultimately designed to enhance the overall gaming experience of its player base, hence the new mobile casino at Virgin.

Said Microgaming CEO, Roger Raatgever, 'We're very happy to continue expanding our strong share in the mobile market by providing Virgin Games with our suite of mobile content through QuickFire. Microgaming has the strongest portfolio of Flash assets in the industry and our slick, user friendly content is sure to be a big hit with Virgin Games' fans.'
