As one of the UK's most successful land and online sports betting and gaming firms, it's no surprise that William Hill is drawn to sports sponsorships, its most recent being as the 'official betting partner' of yet another leading UK darts franchise.

WilliamHill.com concluded a sponsorship deal with Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) that will see it become associated with McCoy's Premier League Darts tournament series, which follows on with its other recent high-profile darts sponsorship.

William Hill Sponsored 2011 Grand Slam Of Darts

In November last year, William Hill was the proud sponsor of the prestigious Grand Slam Of Darts at Wolverhampton Civic Hall, which was won in fine style by darts legend Phil Taylor, who took home the top prize of £100,000.

WilliamHill.com's sponsorship of McCoy's Premier League Darts tournament series means the sportsbooks will be permitted to offer the latest odds on matches from each one of the series' 15 venues, over and above being visible through William Hill branded shirts worn by the players during the tournaments.

Said PDC Chairman, Barry Hearn, 'The William Hill Grand Slam Of Darts was a huge success and it's great to welcome William Hill as the official betting partner of the McCoy's Premier League Darts. The tournament is building into the most exciting yet since this concept was introduced in 2005 and we're delighted to have its support.'

About McCoy's Premier League Darts Tournament

The McCoy's Premier League Darts tournament series is a roadshow, and this year's series will run from February to May across Britain and Ireland. As such, it has the distinction of being the UK's biggest indoor sporting event.

The tournament will feature eight of the world's best darts players, who will each go head to head on 15 consecutive Thursdays with a single goal in mind - to become the new McCoy's Premier League Darts champion. The reigning champ is Gary Anderson, and he will do his best to protect his title and scoop the tournaments £125,000 first prize.

Players expected to make it into the coveted 2012 McCoy's Premier League Darts field, apart from Anderson of course, include Phil Taylor, Adrian Lewis, James Wade and Gary Anderson, as well as Simon Whitlock and Raymond van Barneveld. Hoping to crack the nod are the likes of Wes Newton, Mark Webster and Paul Nicholson.
