UK-based online betting software vendor LVS has wrapped up a deal that will see it provide its sportsbook platform to Loterie National De Cote D'Ivoir (LoNaCI), the African nation of Ivory Coast's sole gambling operator.

Under the terms the LVS deal with LoNaCI, LVS - which is owned by French national lottery operator La Francaise Des Jeux (FDJ) - will provide LoNaCI with its Advanced Betting Platform (ABP) so that it can launch a sportsbook in the nation.

LoNaCI Sportsbook to be Operated under SportCash Brand

The LoNaCI sportsbook will be operated under the SportCash brand, and is expected to be up-and-running in time for the prestigious 2012 Africa Cup Of Nations football tournament, which kicks off this month and will be co-hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.

If the rollout goes smoothly, LVS' SportCash sportsbook service will be available in some 80 shops in the Ivory Coast, before expanding in the coming year to as many as 2,000 terminals nationwide, which will complement the country's existing parimutual horseracing facilities and lottery-style games.

Said LVS Chief Executive Officer, Simon Ordish, 'This is the second deal with a state-owned lottery operator that LVS has completed, and we are extremely pleased that LoNaCI chose the ABP for its sportsbetting platform.'

'Our Advanced Betting Platform, with its sophisticated risk management and event management technology, enables operators to rapidly increase their operation without the usual resource overhead,' he said.

Ordish went on to say that he feels honored that an organisation as large as LoNaCI chose LVS over many other top sportsbook vendors to roll out what will become a pretty sizable sportsbook operation, and that he expects the firm's relationship with LoNaCI to be a long and fruitful one.

Complete Multi-Channel Solution on the Internet

According to a statement from LVS, it consulted with partners LotSys and Morpho to come up with a reliable and robust retail-friendly sports betting system for LoNaCI, that is a 'complete multi-channel solution on the internet, mobile and retail from one single engine.'

The ABP has also been designed to give LoNaCI the choice of manually or automatically managing the sportsbook from pricing to settlement of events and everything in between. As such, LVS has also provided unique price deriving tools that are designed to provide risk management capabilities.
