Land gambling is strictly controlled in the Southeast Asian country of Thailand, where citizens are only permitted to gamble on horse racing and the national lottery. In 2006, however, government officials were accused of stealing over $1 billion from the lottery coffers.

Given the land gambling situation in Thailand, it is not in the least surprising that online gambling is strictly prohibited in the nation, with no indication of being regulated anytime soon. But although Thai online casinos do not exist, Thai authorities do not have any measures in place to stop Thai online gambling fans from playing at foreign sites.

However, while many online casinos are happy to accept players from Thailand, few if any offer Thai language versions.
