If, like me, you’re a big fan of entrepreneur Richard Branson, and acknowledge
that most things that carry the Virgin brand are ‘golden’, then you’ll be no
stranger to Virgin Bingo, the highly popular online bingo arm of the Virgin
Games website.
In fact, the Virgin Bingo brand is proving to be so successful,
that the Virgin powers that be signed off on a new £500,000 television
advertising campaign to help punt Virgin Bingo even more, which is a departure
from its previous TV campaign.
Where Virgin Bingo’s old TV ads involved a series of entertaining animated
ads, its new 30 second ad has been described as ‘Virgin Bingo meets Willy Wonka’,
Willy Wonka being the proprietor of author Roald Dahl’s famous Chocolate
Factory.
The new Virgin Bingo TV ad is set in a whimsical Willy
Wonka-esq factory where Virgin Bingo is produced. A woman is seen to be taking a
tour of the Virgin Bingo factory, where instead of Oompa-Loompas, she encounters
happy Virgin Bingo staff in action. The ad also makes mention of the site’s
generous new ‘Deposit £10 and play with £35’ welcome bonus.
Enjoy the New Virgin Bingo TV Ad and Welcome Bonus
There is no doubt that this new amusing Virgin Bingo ad coupled with its
extremely generous welcome bonus, will go down a treat with UK online bingo
players, and encourage them to try out this top-rated online bingo site. Aimed
at women 25-54 years-old, the new ad will be broadcast on Channel Five, as well
as a series of Sky UK and ITV digital channels.
According to the CEO of Virgin
Games, Simon Burridge, the objective of the new Virgin Bingo TV ad is to create
a sense of ‘security and familiarity’ between Virgin Bingo and bingo fans in the
UK, and to reiterate that they (the fans) can rely on and trust Virgin Bingo as
it is part of the reputable Virgin brand.
For my tuppence, I think the new ad is great, despite me not being the target
market. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if in the next few years Virgin Bingo
doesn’t become the biggest online bingo force in the United Kingdom, and
possibly even beyond.
